Mexico Service Project 2020
Spend a week in El Peñon School in Montefalco, in central Mexico, taking part in a light construction project. There will be time for playing sports, hiking and visiting places of interest, including Mexico City and the shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe.
For High school Students
There will be two components; one will be assisting in the renovations of local town buildings that still suffer the consequences of the earthquake. The work, which will be performed in the mornings, will be light remodeling, like cover wall cracks, wall brush painting and overall cleaning.
The other social component will be to attend in the afternoon and early evenings to educational and recreational activities organized to be with boys who attend the El Penon school.

We will be staying at La Ceiba, a small center that is used for high school and college retreats and workshops. It is located in the grounds of an old hacienda located in Jonacatepec a city in the state of Morelos south of Mexico City, about 1 ½ hours .
The Montefalco Hacienda has been transformed to include Montefalco, a conference center for Opus Dei activities,
La Ceiba is located in the El Penon boys’ school complex. It has 2 individual rooms for the staff and director and six triple rooms for participants, each with a complete bathroom. It also has a dinning room, living room and classroom. It is surrounded by gardens and has a soccer and basketball court.
